September 7: Color Theory Through Portraiture

We learned about color theory and the biological basis of color perception to understand how we actually see colors. Then we split into partners to draw portraits. The students applied their knowledge of complementary, supplementary, and tertiary colors to paint their partner. We showed them examples of Andy Warhol and how the color does not always have to be representative.
